Get to know Chris Mills

Hi, I’m Chris Mills, and I’m living proof that no story is too far gone for God to redeem. I grew up here in the local area and served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1991 to 1995, and later in the Kentucky National Guard until 1998. A motorcycle accident during that time left me without the use of my right arm, and that life-changing moment pushed me deeper into an already long-standing battle with addiction.

For years, I struggled with everything from alcohol to methamphetamine. I lost relationships, including contact with my son, and walked through some very dark seasons. Today, I have 17 years clean, and as a born again Christian, my life has been radically changed by Jesus Christ. I’m not ashamed to share where I’ve been, because I know that God uses our stories to reach others. Revelation 12:11 says, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony…”

Now, I get to serve in a church that welcomes people like me with open arms. Parkway has been a place of healing, hope, and freedom, and I’m honored to be part of that story for others too. If you're walking through addiction or know someone who is, you're not alone—and there’s always a place for you here.
