I was raised around strong pentecostal preachers, but struggled to find my own identity in Christ for many years.  As a younger man, my family moved around a bit and through a series of unfortunate events, found themselves without a home and heading to live with relatives in Kentucky.  This latest turn of events sent me down a rough path, eventually landing me in the U.S. Marines.  

After leaving the Marines, I, being a jack of all trades but master of none, stumbled into a technology career over 30 years ago and have been riding that wave ever since.

My love of God was sparked anew after a life-changing encounter with Christ.  I was subsequently guided to Parkway Ministries with my beautiful wife, Kim.  From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we were home.

With what few hours I have left in the day, Jay is either working on music as the lead guitarist for Parkway Worship, working on his side hustles, working on the farm, or lounging with Kim.

Oh, yeah, I have the most amazing granddaughter, Emryn Brooke.
A chip off the old block, that one.
