Get to know Jordan and Ellie Yaden
Jordan was raised in the home of a pastor and worship pastor and answered his own call to ministry as a young teenager. Jordan graduated from University of the Cumberlands in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, and again in 2022 with a Master’s Degree in Education.
Aside from his position as worship director at Parkway, Jordan serves as the choral director at South Laurel High School where he leads a variety of performances including musicals and concerts on both a local and state level.
You may see Jordan behind a variety of instruments, leading the congregation in song, or ministering alongside Parkway’s tech team. He has been an active member of the worship team since joining Parkway in 2014 and has been serving as the worship director since 2023.
Jordan strongly believes that worship will be a key factor to seeing another Great Awakening before the return of Christ. His life scripture is Psalm 34:8, “Oh taste and see that The Lord is good.” His desire is that everyone who enters our doors will experience the goodness and faithfulness of God in such a way that their lives are forever changed.
Jordan and Ellie were married in 2020 and have one son who is the light of their lives. Ellie grew up as a pastor’s kid and continues to serve in ministry in a variety of areas, most heavily in worship and missions ministry. Ellie began singing as a teenager and has only continued to be more involved in worship ministry as The Lord has directed her steps over the past several years.
Ellie graduated from Union Commonwealth University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She is a critical care nurse at Baptist Health Corbin where she works as a floor nurse, lead nurse, and serves as a president of their Unit Based Council. Ellie strongly believes she has been called to her role as a nurse and desires to utilize her position as a ministry.
Ellie works alongside her husband, Jordan, and the rest of Parkway Worship to usher in The Lord’s presence through praise and worship. She has spent her life serving The Lord and knows Him as a father and friend. She lives by the anthem, “All my life you have been faithful. All my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.”
