Get to know Matt Conley
Matt first began helping with sound and media at Parkway when he was just 12 years old. Whether it was audio, cameras, or lighting, he was all in. That early spark quickly became a lifelong passion, eventually leading him to pursue a career in sound engineering. He began his studies at Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in the recording industry, but soon took an opportunity to serve as Lead Audio Engineer for the Children of the World International Children’s Choir, traveling and honing his craft on the road.
After the tour, Matt returned to Corbin and rejoined the Production Team at Parkway—right where it all started. Not long after, he met Jess, who had joined the team to help run PowerPoint during services. They began dating while serving side-by-side in 2003. That same year, Matt moved to Florida to attend Full Sail University, where he graduated with a degree in Show Production and Touring.
Today, Matt continues to serve faithfully co-leading Parkway’s Production Team. You’ll usually find him walking the sanctuary, mixing sound from an iPad and making sure every detail is just right. His passion is to reach the next generation through the power of sound and media. His life verse? Genesis 1:3 – “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” (Because, of course, the audio was already working.)
