Gods Game Plan For Life

Mar 4, 2026    Pastor Mark Hisle

Part 6 of God’s Game Plan for Life took us to second base: community and relationships. ⚾

Pastor Mark unpacked the reality that hurting people hurt people, and they’re often the easiest to hurt. Time alone doesn’t heal wounds. When emotional pain goes untreated, it spreads like an infection. If we want healthy relationships, we have to be willing to face the past hurts and deal with the roots, not just trim the surface. Where there is fruit, there is always a root.

Looking at the story of Jacob and the dysfunction in his family in Genesis, we saw that real growth requires honesty about our own character and a willingness to talk about what’s broken. The longer an injury has been there, the more complicated it can be to heal, but healing is still possible when we bring it to God.

Pastor Mark shared a few keys to winning at second base: value others above yourself, give more than you take, forgive what you can’t forget, and trust God to change people. Healthy community starts when we let God heal what’s underneath the surface. ⚾
